Sekhem: The Ancient Healing Art from Egypt

Sekhem (also known as Sekhm or Seichim) is an ancient, comprehensive Egyptian energy healing system. It was among the healing arts practiced in the temples of Egypt long ago.

The Egyptian word S-kh-m denotes might or power, representing the source energy or the divine spark that each of us harbors deep within. The Sekhm energy is balanced, embodying a gentle and loving feminine aspect. Its purpose is to aid humanity in reaching new levels of consciousness. It balances and realigns our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual facets.

Sekhm was rediscovered in the 1980s by Patrick Zeigler during his visit to Egypt. He experienced a night within the Great Pyramid, awakening a remembrance of this ancient system. While Patrick Zeigler is often regarded as the founder of Sekhm, he is more aptly the individual who reintroduced this energy system to the collective consciousness of humanity.

Upon his return, he began teaching small groups and individuals. It wasn’t long before Sekhm was taught globally. Numerous Reiki Masters and other healers have not only integrated Sekhm into their practices but also share this invaluable knowledge with others.
