In early 2015, I was introduced to the Mindfold mask during a shamanic session in Tampa, Florida. Initially, I was a bit hesitant to wear the mask for the drum journey, as I’m usually not a big fan of such “aids.” But then I thought, “Why not?”—and wow! I was truly amazed at how the absolute darkness, even with open eyes, immediately brought me into a different state of consciousness. This inspired me to make this product—which is still handcrafted by a family business in Arizona—available to interested individuals on this side of the Atlantic.

The Mindfold mask can be considered a meditation aid that allows you to delve into depths that would otherwise require years of meditation practice. Of course, it is also ideal for:

• Traveling by train or airplane
• Relief from headaches or migraines
• Shift workers who need to sleep during the day
• A quick power nap or midday rest
• After eye surgeries
• Training and play
• Any relaxation therapy

There are virtually no limits to its use.

The mask’s band is freely adjustable with a Velcro closure, and the soft foam interior makes it very comfortable to wear. The mask is also makeup-friendly.
