Jin Shin Acutouch – The Tai Chi of Healing Touch – Barbara Clark [1989/1995]
A rare and comprehensive practitioner manual developed by Barbara Clark at the International Professional School of Bodywork (IPSB) in San Diego. Clark studied Jin Shin Jyutsu under Mary Burmeister – the student of Master Jiro Murai who brought the Art to America – and then deepened her own synthesis by integrating Five Element Theory, Taoist Yoga, Chi Kung, and Breath Therapy. The result is a two-part work: Section 1 covers the theoretical foundations (energy bodies, Safety Energy Lock points, hands, primary flows, depths and organ meridians, pulse reading); Section 2 is a detailed chart atlas of over 60 flows and releases for practical application. JSJ practitioners will immediately recognize the familiar 26 Safety Energy Locks, organ flows, and depth system – described here with a slightly different vocabulary but mapping with near-perfect correspondence to the Art as transmitted by Burmeister. An out-of-print volume that has become hard to find.
